Meet Dani and Ryan.

Dani and Ryan have a small family farm in Alberta's Peace County. They are invested in working with the natural aspects of their farmland to produce ethically raised, sustainable beef, pork and lamb. Their farm is home, not only to their family and domestic animals, but also to moose, and deer, coyotes, migratory birds, beavers, and a whole host of critters that mostly stay hidden in the 40 or so acres of existing forest on the farm.

Dani and Ryan’s goal is to work with nature and natural processes to allow their animals to live as they would in the natural environment, outdoor, with plenty of space, sunshine, and fresh air, where they can roam, root, graze, give birth, and raise their young. They have livestock guardian dogs and a llama, whose jobs are to keep predators to the periphery where they can maintain their own area without becoming a nuisance to being threatened by direct human aggression.

One of Ryan and Dani’s primary goals is to establish a farming system that is sustainable, that produces quality food, and that will leave their quarter section better than they found it.
